Refund policy

As a boutique company run by Canadian women who want to provide high quality, sustainably made products, it is important to us that you are 100% satisfied with your purchase. To achieve this, we take a lot of care with product quality at the front end, well before we ship your television screen cover or computer monitor cover. Our ultimate goal is that you receive the item of your dreams, without any defects or surprises.

Sometimes things out of our control happen, so we know that you may need return an item to us, make an exchange, or cancel your order. If this is the case, please see below for details about our returns, refunds, and exchange policies. We have tried to make this process as simple as possible for you, and if you have any questions at all, please contact us at info@consciouscovers.ca.

Our returns, refunds and exchange policies apply in the same manner to both regularly priced, pre-order and/or sale items.

SECTION 1 - CANCELLING A PRE-ORDER

1.1 In limited cases, when we offer pre-orders, you may cancel a pre-order at any time between when you submit your order, and when it is shipped.

1.2 After your order has shipped, you may return any items you are not satisfied with to us as per Section 2 of this Policy.

SECTION 2 - RETURNS

2.1 Our return policy applies to unused products for 45 days.

• If more than 45 days have gone by since the shipping tracking information shows that your item was delivered, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.
• If less that 45 days have gone by since the shipping tracking information shows that your item was delivered, you can return any item(s) that you are not 100% satisfied with, for a full refund.

2.2 To complete your return, please email us at info@consciouscovers.ca to let us know what the problem is. Include your order number and a photo of the item with your email so we can understand the issue, and quickly process your request. We will reply with a pre-paid return label so you can send the item back to us at no cost to you.

2.3 To be eligible for a return and refund, your item must be unused and still with the original packaging. Even if you opened the packaging before you decided to return the item, please keep all of the original packaging and return it to us along with the item.

SECTION 3 - REFUNDS

3.1 Once we receive the item that you have shipped the item back to us via the pre-paid return label, we will process your refund back to the original form of payment. 

3.2 As always, even if we process a refund within a few hours, it may take some time to appear back in your account. We will send you confirmation of the refunded payment as soon as it is processed on our end, so you can rest easy that your money is on its way back to you.

3.3 Many of our payment options have built in buyer protection, including Pay Pal, Google Pay and credit cards. Please use this as a last resort dispute mechanism, not as a first resort to request a refund.

3.4 We will process your refund back to the method of payment you used. This is the only option we have, and we cannot refund a PayPal payment onto a credit card, or vice versa.

SECTION 4 - EXCHANGES 

4.1 We will replace any item(s) that arrive to you defective or damaged. If you need to exchange anything, please email us at info@consciouscovers.ca with photos and a description of the problem. We will arrange return shipping for you, as well as process an order for your brand new item.

4.2 The new item will ship to you in as if it is a new order, and is processed within that time frame. You can check out our Shipping Policy for more information.

SECTION 5 - GIFT RETURNS

5.1 Please ask the gifter (original purchaser) to email us as above under Section 2 for the return of your product, and we can process the return. The original purchaser will receive the refund back to their original form of payment.

5.2 As with any returns, we can only refund the form of payment that was used to place the order. This is because of the privacy and security protocols built into our https website, and we have no option to make exceptions to this.
