Our Story

Where It All Began

We are two friends in British Columbia, Canada - Jen and Kim - and we founded Conscious Covers, as we needed to take back our homes and improve our mental well-being. After Jen tried many different ways to hide her home office monitor in the main living area including plants, picture frames, towels, and wood cubbies, we realized that there was no easy, attractive, and affordable ways to cover our screens. The big black square box or shining blue light, was constantly vying for attention and focus, catching us out of the corners of our eyes, and making it hard to relax and forget about work. In addition, without a regular routine to disconnect from work, it never really felt like the day was done. Conscious Covers was created to solve these problems with the philosophy to easily turn your home office to a home retreat in seconds.

Why Conscious Covers Exist

Conscious Covers offer a way to mindfully end the work day, separate work from the home, beautify your home decor, and protect your investment in computer monitors and TV screens. As home office workers, we understand the need to maintain mental well-being by creating space and distance from work. With this unique product, we hope to spread freedom from screens to every home office worker.

Our Quality

Conscious Covers are not your average cotton-sheet-sewn-at-home cover. Creating durable and aesthetically pleasing monitor and screen covers was, and remains, our top priority. The recycled poly fabric has a splash resistant outside, a luxuriously soft micro-fleece inside, is printed with bright quality prints, and sewn by professionals in Vancouver, BC.

Making Life Easier

Even with their high quality, Conscious Covers are an affordable, space saving, non-permanent, and easy solution to conceal computer monitors and TV screens when they aren’t in use. They are a soft, easy folding fabric that you can slide into a drawer for storage during working hours, and can even be washed with your regular delicates

Sustainability

We are conscious of our environmental impact, and follow the practices of ‘less is more’ and simple living. By sourcing materials made from post-consumer recycled products, using local manufacturers, and purchasing carbon off-sets for all of our shipping, we minimize our footprint on the planet.
